It's true that the Party as a whole remains largely calcified, and once she enters the caucus she'll be subject to all the usual conformity-enforcing pressures. But the exceptionally *unusual* route she took to office means she's uniquely positioned to resist those pressures

I doubt it. I'm sure Crowley and the DNC made her plenty of offers, financial and otherwise... she stuck to her small donors and beliefs. As far being ambitious goes, I hope she has ambition, but I can't imagine anyone running for any office, even at the lowest level, without it.
