Indeed! I get asked all the time to comment on politics or situations in countries about which it is impossible for me to speak with any understanding due to language barrier.

Good idea, as a Canadian it drives me crazy hearing American media talk about Canadian politics. Can't imagine how bad it would be for Mexico which doesn't share the language or shared culture.

As an American, it drives me crazy hearing Canadians comment on American media commenting on Canadian politics. Our contiguous neighbors north and south are every bit our business.
