If he has been obsessed for so many years, why did he act out his rage filled fantasy now?

He kept becoming increasing more and more unhinged. You can almost see the decent into insanity from his Twitter account. There was also a recent tweet he made and mentioned another account which if I had to guess I would say he created to further his lunacy.

There is no way he was not on someone's radar. He seems to have at least cyberstalked and harassed at least one person at the paper if not more. It would not surprise me in the least to find out it wasn't only online.

We need to take a good long hard look at how people like him and others are slipping through the cracks when people are speaking up and reporting them. Most if not all of the mass shooting we've had recently could have and should have been prevented.

It's really sad, and I see it from both sides, that when we have a tragedy like this people start throwing accusations it's a crazy far right racist or it's the unhinged leftist almost like people hope it's the "opposition" before the first fact is even out.

We get too busy throwing insults at each other that those responsible for failing to do their jobs slink away virtually unnoticed. Maybe when this unfortunately happens again ask was he/she reported if so what was done. Why wasn't more done and how do we fix the cracks

Someone who has violent thoughts may decide to act on those thoughts when they gain the impression that society (or at least groups with whom they identify) will regard their violence as legitimate.

No political motive, no handgun, no assault rifle, and a Hispanic suspect. Sorry Democrats, you won’t be able to exploit this tragedy at all.

The theory that angry crazy people should not have guns has held up pretty well.
