Of course. What confuses me is why you won’t simply acknowledge that this policy is particularly barbaric in ways that surpass previous policy & produces worse outcomes in most cases. The policy changed. The change was *mandatory* family separation. you don’t see that as worse?

Anyway, I appreciate the civility. I don’t think it helps to descend into name calling or ad hominem so I apologize for using the word “shtick” previously. I guess I just don’t understand why highlighting media bias is more important than having a substantive debate

"Bias" isn't even the term I would use. Hostility between the media and Trump is a mutually agreed upon and mutually beneficial arrangement. But it's still useful to attempt to assess how that arrangement may skew perception of the substantive issues.
