I don't think it will. As someone who works in coalitions with immigrant rights' groups. I think deportations and ICE existing will, but not if borders should exist.

You think every element of the multifaceted Dem coalition is prepared to affirm the inherent unjustness of borders?

Mr. Tracey is correct. I used to vote a straight democratic ticket. I'm also a legal immigrant. It would take an act of God to make me vote for any democrat again. Whether they say it explicitly or not, the DNC is now advocating for anyone w/ a child to be allowed into the US

My analysis is the same; I'll be surprised if "no borders", despite its ideological consistency and the righteous passion of its advocates, sits well with the establishment crowd.

This is the democratic platform, free college, free health care, and unchecked immigration. They basically want to turn us all into slaves who do nothing but work to pay for their largesse.

I just don’t understand how people can extoll the virtues of free movement of capital across borders, yet so vilify the notion of labor (people) doing the same thing.

Makes perfect sense that Democratic elites want open borders Democrats are NeoLiberals, & NeoLiberals want totally free movement of capital (corporations) & labor. As good NeoLiberals, Dems use identity politics to foment intra-class conflict & distract.https://jacobinmag.com/2011/01/let-them-eat-diversity …

Libertarians praise the ability of the “free market” to spread wealth, yet refuse to acknowledge human beings as a part of that market. Where is the call to let countries compete for citizens the same way corps compete for customers?
