It's telling that the big condemnation of Comey is that he was "insubordinate." Not that what he did was wrong, or unfair, or unjust. Just that he didn't go through the right bureaucratic channels. Hence why the DOJ should not be looked to as an ethical arbiter of anythingpic.twitter.com/ks16x2NvlD

If he was following Obama's orders, was he really "insubordinate"?

Well there is the whole end run around the Attorney General. Which some might consider sexist, at least. (He's a big man, think LBJ)

Kind of like how the whistleblower for CIA torture was punished but the torturers didn't because "we had to look forward not backwards". Similar with officials wanting to hold @Snowden to account yet not Clapper and illegal NSA spying.

Comey lied to Congress which is a felony!! He lied to them several times, so prison time of at least 30 years, & that's too light, Comey has worked for the Clintons since Arkansas, he broke laws & should be treated in the appropriate manner, either of us would be in jail.#LAWS

You have to remember the IG’s job is mainly to make sure policy and procedures are followed. They have the power to refer what they believe to be a blatant crime to the DOJ for review and to decide to open an investigation. They’re nothing more than glorified HR personnel.
