On Face the Nation, "senior fellow" of something or other declares ending the Korean War a "shiny object" and "fake peace." Host Margaret Brennan agrees North Korea has gotten a "propaganda win." Amazing flippancy

Of course this "senior fellow" -- ostensibly brought on to showcase a Korean perspective -- is former CIA https://www.brookings.edu/experts/jung-h-pak/ …pic.twitter.com/F5dbKdX0N0

What is NK supposed to do, exactly, with these propaganda "wins"? Feed them to their populace instead of food and the other propaganda they already get?

The thing about intangible, immeasurable objects invented by foreign analysts is you generally can't do anything with them.

I think there is some kind of gentleman's agreement that Korea punditry must contain no actual Koreans. You'd think that's the demographic with the most incentive to know what they're talking about.

I find it extremely disturbing that getting to an actual real peace is upsetting to some necons, trump hating journalists and establishment. How low can they go?!

Margaret Brennan is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Don't expect her to welcome the possibility of LESS war, and possibly LESS federal spending on the Military Industrial Complex whom she works for.

Maligning Trump is Job # One. No deviation from that task is allowed. Journalists have become stenographers for the Deep State.

This type of talk and imperialist thinking is reason America has been in Afghanistan and Iraq for over fifteen years. Thede people can't see beyond their noses and think outside the DC orthodoxy box.

These pundits are just upset that the Koreas have figured out that the US isn’t interested in peace in the region and, in fact, often works to undermine said efforts. Thus, they’ve taken matters into their own hands.
