I want to say a very heartfelt thank you to all of you who prayed for my Dad. 
Even some people who vehemently disagree with me everyday, said prayers, which truly warmed my heart.
He has cancer.

Because of covid.. Many people like my Dad are sick and alone in hospitals and loved ones are not allowed in. People are trapped in nursing homes not allowed to see their families. And too many have died alone unable to say goodbye.

This is all so wrong. People need their loved ones when they are sick and people need to be able to care for their sick ones in need. It’s our emotional connections with one another that comforts and heals. We can not allow government to steal our human dignity.

Imagine if we all wore masks and did what we should have this last spring and summer, we wouldn’t be in this situation. My family lost our uncle during this pandemic, we understand the pain. But you have do what is hard for the greater good. This fake oppression bull got us here.

You have the wrong take, Marjorie. We're in the shit now because of a failure of leadership--because Trump doesn't believe in expertise; because he would sooner gnaw off his own hand than admit he made a mistake. All he had to do was fight this at the Federal level. That's all.

All he had to do was say, "My bad, Fauci says wear cloth masks until we can get more. Oh, and everybody hunker down until June. Groceries and medicine only." And everybody would have done it, and he would have been re-elected in a landslide, but no, his ego wouldn't let him.

My best friend's hubby had a stroke and was hospitalized for at least a month. When he came home (on hospice care) they saw the info they'd been told was very flawed. Had they been able to observe him they would have made very different decisions. He died surrounded by family.

So sorry for your friend and her husband. It is so sad to hear of cases such as this. It is just not right for family to not be able to visit loved ones and see how they are and get all info needed to ensure good care decisions are made!
