1. When I was 16, @JoeBiden’s Gun Free School Zones went into effect leaving us completely unprotected at school.
That year a schoolmate brought 3 guns to school to kill other students.
I know that helpless fear bc there was no good guy with a gun..

2. to protect us that day. I’m a Mom now and a gun owner. I believe our children are more important than gold, politicians, and objects we guard with guns. They are priceless. Bad guys always find a way to kill. No amount of laws will change that..

because there... IS no "good guy with a gun". This is a fallacious argument republicans make about "we'll all be safer if we just have more and more guns". There have been school guards since Columbine and they provably do not stop school shootings
When I was 16 a boy brought a gun to my school and shot another boy. I never once since that day have thought that another person with a gun in that situation would have made me feel safer or made me safer

There WAS a “good guy with a gun” in Parkland. He ran away from the shooter. Guns in schools don’t make them safer. It makes them easier to target.
I think you may have PTSD & I hope you are getting treatment. It sounds like your traumatic past is informing your policy and belief system, causing you to disregard reality. I’m praying for you, Marjorie. I hope you find peace without further endangering my fellow Georgians.
