The @NRA "good guy with a gun" theory presumes a gun owner will be ready to stop a situation in seconds. In NZ, a bystander stepped in and chased the attacker 20 minutes after the attack began - 41 people were already dead.

Your theory holds no water here - the gun the attacker used is the problem. The lives of my children are worth more than counting on a bystander to shoot an attacker 20 minutes after a shooter enters their school w/a semi-automatic gun.

I hope to God that America never becomes the place you want it to be. Where we hand over our guns and let the Gov control us and “protect” us. History has seen that before. Germany, China, Soviet Union, Cuba, Venezuela. I’ll keep my guns, all of them. Thanks.

Nobody is taking your guns unless of course you fail background checks or choose to carry semi-automatics. This narrative is unfounded in anything i wrote above. Facts matter and so do #CommonSenseGunLaws

You’re right facts do matter. The gun I #ConcealedCarry everyday is semi automatic and most guns are. Instead of being afraid to protect yourself and your kids, try educating yourself. #DontBeAVictim

All you are trying to do is ban something you know nothing about. And while you throw things at an active shooter in order to protect yourself, I’m thankfully trained and equipped to stop a threat if need be. Murder is already illegal, yet it still happens.

My solution is to remove guns from people not qualified to own them - you brought up the NZ shooting as a successful “good guy with a gun” moment. Although he was a hero, I don’t consider 41 deaths and a thrown gun a “success” - that’s on you.

That’s on me? What does the NZ shooting have to do with me or the US? Nothing. We have the 2A. Best freedom in the world. Why don’t you and your @MomsDemand friends focus your efforts on the meds these shooters are on? And leave our guns alone. K
