The evidence that it’s effective against COVID isn’t there yet. (As you say in next to last graf.) Side effects can also be significant. Those things seem pretty important to me.

Scientific debate on FB seems sketchy at best.
It’d be sketchy if anyone were implying regulatory decisions be made on FB. But how is it sketchy to discuss a topic online, with the general public, while the usual discussion among professionals continues? Also, what about discussing the quality of the “official” debate?
I must take issue with this article. The article speaks of a treatment plan that included the medication ivermectin, vitamin C and steroids. Corticosteroids have always been used to treat lungs infections. I have worked in healthcare and that has been standard of care for years.
