classically difficult to define populism but it's hard to see why the US flips in 2017 but the UK doesn't in 2020

Doctor who performed FGM on a young girl that led to her death was released on bail. This reminded me of when attacks on Christians in Upper Egypt go unpunished. The state bowing to societal pressure and norm and does not enforce the law. Laws are only for political dissenters.

A 4-year-old in Colorado died from flu this week. Days before, his mom reached out to Facebook's biggest anti-vaxx group. Members told her not to take the Tamiflu a doctor had prescribed, but give him oils and elderberries and put potatoes in his socks.

    1) I couldn’t stop thinking about the odd make-up of the new Trump admin-led “International Religious Freedom Alliance.” So I decided to look up what the State Department’s own reports on religious freedom have noted about the countries listed below. I put together a document...

International relations, particularly as it relates to human rights, has been reduced far too often to cynical trolling While the Free Egyptians Party was busy writing this lazy hot take, the regime it backs has imprisoned Egyptians seeking to run in upcoming parliamentary elex

North Korea's got a new slogan - "Let's completely block the new coronavirus" appeared in today's Rodong Sinmun, along with photos of workers disinfecting a railway station in Pyongyang, and a factory producing face masks.
