    Clifton led protests in school, engaged with on racial justice, crossed the burning sands into , kept strong grades, strong internships, and helped his family. We helped move him in 4 years ago, and today he graduates. I’m a bucket of tears.

    He graduated high school after having lost his mother, and he’s graduating college after having lost his father. But through it all, he has remained caring and determined, resolute and always for the people.

    I met during the Ferguson uprising, when he was organizing students for walkouts and telling the Ferguson Commission what we really needed to hear. We were together in the streets & the board rooms and he was as excellent then as he is now.
