    So... if we're talking about supporting each other as a community, great; if we're acknowledging the contributions of everyone who helped us, great; but that's not incompatible with understanding who did the actual creative work. It was probably a podcast producer.

    Like… yes and no? Many BPA winners and nominees continue to be independent. Answer Me This has been independent for 14 years. We also take advertising, are supported by listeners, and had a lot of friends in comedy and music help out, especially in the early days.

    There’s a comment here I’m not sure how to take. Craig Strachan from Amazon says “We can all agree that most good podcasts are not produced in isolation… many [BPA] winners and nominees… started out as independents themselves, and were facilitated by great podcasting peers.”

    One final thing: I often make mistakes when it comes to attribution of shows/makers because I'm always writing to a v tight deadline and in a birrova panic. I do try and check but still get it wrong. When I do, I'm sorry and I'm always happy to put it right
