    This is true. I can say as someone working inside the lowest rung of government that I am witnessing non profit orgs and volunteers picking up the slack, sloth and waste of bureaucracy.

    Here are a couple instances in which unpaid volunteer advocates know better and do more than David Ryu on homelessness. 1) on his "sounds good!" stamp of approval on the cruel ban on sidewalk sleeping 2) with opening an access center

    🚨NEWS ALERT 🚨 : You have to be the ACTUAL woman who accused Kobe of rape, and not just a survivor of sexual assault from a non-Kobe person in order to vocalize feelings about that part of Kobe’s legacy. So shut your mouth you sexual assault survivors and “show some grace”.

    survivors are allowed to grieve. survivors are allowed to be angry. survivors are allowed to be neutral. survivors are allowed to have complex feelings & survivors are in no way obligated to explain any of it to you— that is all.

    I may be wrong because I didn’t follow it closely, but I believe I had heard he came clean and made contributions to organizations of sexual assault which helped restore his character him in my memory. Can anyone confirm?

    I didn’t follow his career closely but what I do remember was the rape allegations and how his fans came to his defense even without all the information and I thought, “Regardless if he is innocent of not, this sends a bad precedent for women confronting their perpetrators.”

    I wasn’t a big Kobe follower because of the whole rapist thing plus I am a Warriors fan but his sudden death is super shocking and a loss for Los Angeles.
