I'm reading The Silver Arrow to 3rd graders in the library this month, and they often draw while I read. This week they drew their Dream Train Cars because apparently a candy car & swimming pool car weren't aiming high enough. Behold...

I love when I see students leave classrooms and schools to protest their accreditation status, loss of local control, bathroom bills, etc. We need more, now than ever. We need student organizing now more than ever

How I discovered a love for ballet as an adult

Sometimes you can find new interests in old places. For me, it was taking ballet classes alongside a group of around 20 Chinese ladies, all of them starting ballet as adults.

Update: This child came into my library today, clapped when she saw me, and exclaimed, "Kate!! You brushed your hair!!!" 💀
