14/14 It’s a good idea: make the world better, using technology that (mostly) already exists, and there’s a clear revenue model. Please build this!

13/14 For extra-tech fun, install IoT (cellular/WiFi) to track usage. Use for predictive maintenance (they’re only good if they work!) and run a Customer Success team to encourage usage by new Moms at each location. Run tests for FDA/insurance endorsement.

12/14 Use revenue to fund development of cheaper, home dishwashers (~$200) for Moms on leave or whose companies don’t provide. Partner with health insurance to subsidize. They do this for breast pumps already!

11/14 Sell to companies for installation in  Mothers’ Rooms. Subscription revenue from selling special, milk-dissolving detergent. A couple thousand dollars for each dishwasher could be an easy sell!

10/14 Solution: create a specialized breast pump dishwasher (quick rinse + special milk-dissolving detergent + steam sanitize + heat dry). Entire cycle could run in <5 minutes (hopefully!) - time for Mom to pack up.

9/14 Technology to make pumping easier could be added to these spaces. And companies have an incentive to support new Moms returning to work - and get more working hours from them while at work.

8/14 It can be better! Companies above 100 employees have a dedicated “Mother’s Room” for nursing, and are required to accommodate breastfeeding. But these are under-equipped!

7/14 And off you don’t pump, your supply goes down! So it’s either pump to feed (very time consuming, and hard to find the extra >1 hour at work per day) or risk losing supply. You can supplement with formula, but might find yourself moving exclusively to formula.

6/14 Most US working Mom’s fall off breastfeeding once they go back to work (~3 months), partly because of time and hassle pumping.

5/14 Breastfeeding is "crucial" for the first six months, strong WHO recommendation for longer.

4/14 Newer pumps like and are great and allow multitasking, but are less time efficient (take longer) and the parts are harder to clean. And even more expensive, since you're likely to need them *in addition to* a more traditional pump.

3/14 Guess what: an excess of time is one of the last things working mothers have. Pumping itself is time consuming, and extra setup/teardown adds insult to injury. Especially trying to sanitize parts at a work sink.

2/14 First of all: it's time consuming to clean. And it’s even more time consuming because of recent [2017] CDC recommendations to not refrigerate parts for reuse during the day.

1/14 Free business idea! A specialized dishwasher for breast pump parts (e.g. , , , , etc).  Keeping breast pumps sanitary is extremely time consuming. Here's how it can be better -->

The president's impeachment lawyer literally argues that if the president helped a hostile foreign power conquer sovereign American territory, a textbook case of treason, not just "collusion," there would be no legal ground for complaint. You're okay with this, ?

One lesson from GPT-2 (OpenAI's text generator you've seen making things like AI Dungeon) is that when people criticised pattern-based text gen back in the 00s we thought they wanted understanding and coherence and stuff, but what they actually wanted was just a bigger database.
