For those pointing out price discrepancies - I used manufacturer price data for humalog insulin from 1996-present, NOT considering how it varies pending on pharmacy, your personal insurance + other factors. Unchanged, humalog has increased in price by 1200% in the last 24 years.

Insulin price gouging is a death sentence & we need everyone to speak out about this- not a single politician has ever lowered the price of insulin. Not one. There are 10,000+ search results for insulin on GoFundMe right now. Not to mention, we are high risk in terms of covid too

LOL @ the people w/ good insurance calling me a liar. You do realize that’s a *temporary* privilege in a country where health insurance is tied to at will employment?? Happy your mom can get her insulin, but there are also 82 million Americans who are uninsured or underinsured.

The cost of a year’s worth of these drugs for one person to the NHS is just under $600. Patients would pay about $12-$13 per prescription, no other cost, however if they are required to take insulin to manage their condition, there is no charge in much of UK for most people.

It would be less expensive to fly to London and buy a year’s worth of insulin than to pay for one month’s supply out of pocket.
