The only way I could get another opportunity is moving out of state. The law applies to any freelancing in California. Pretty much any freelance writer/artist/photographer, uber/lyft driver, and many others will no longer be able to work in the state.

What type of content did you write?
-
Just a variety of ghostwriting. I worked at Textbroker. I do blogs, articles, travel stuff, landing pages, etc.

They're forcing any company that hires a freelancer for more than 35 gigs a year (which is nothing, I can do that in a week or two) to hire the freelancers as employees. But my company only uses freelance writers. So I lost my ability to work there. And so did many others.
