I just wrote a bit about listening to music in The Sunday Bagel. How do you set yourself up for a good music listening session?

This week's Four Track Snack Pack playlist is out. Don't deny sending your kids to school with these at least once.

What do you look for in a monitor? For me it's being height/tilt adjustable. I also don't seem to do well with wide sizes. I ended up with a Samsung S22E450 "business" monitor from Canada Computers. I was skeptical because it doesn't have HDMI but so far I'm happy with this pick

the beep is not the best sound but I also use the tap tempo to figure out what tempo my song should be at or when analyzing other tracks. has a few signatures and patterns, enough to get the job done and not have to use a phone for it either.

I try to minimize superfluous purchases and recos, but this metronome ended up being more useful than I expected. It even has a timer mode that I use to time work bursts. Great stocking stuffer from
