I enjoyed this game a lot but still refer to it as "a game that hates you." I never considered that the IP caused it to be the most popular Infocom game ever, which turned a lot of potential new text adventure fans against the medium. :( That's a shame.

I really, really didn't like it. I know that's heresy, but I just thought it was a really pretty bad adventure propped up almost entirely by the license.

I can not tell you how many times I restarted the game trying to get to the Vl'Hurg part without a typo/unknown command. I never succeeded.
