A gunman who comes in shooting always has the element of surprise & the upper hand. Therefore, this “solution” of arming teachers would require them to always have the weapon drawn and aimed at the door greeting each student with a laser site between the eyes. Sounds productive.

You are absolutely 100% wrong.

That would make too much sense. They prefer "people are saying....." Or "a lot of people don't know......." I'm a teacher and a hunter, but I would quit my job before I would carry a loaded gun around my precious students.
-
No one is forcing teachers to have or be in possession of guns to protect students, it’s on a volunteer basis and of course after they’re trained to use them or they’ve already been through firearm training. You can calm down now.

Can you say that none of the teachers, absolutely NONE of the teachers or staff, would take the being armed option?
-
I actually personally know several teachers whom would take the option. So your assumption is flat WRONG.

Trust me... no one is going to ask or require YOU to own a gun... You shouldn't criticize the person that is Willing to train and put their life on the line to protect you and others incapable of protecting themselves... Facts over Feelings You can only speak for you... not WE

Then why didn't you risk your life to save kids nah you were too busy saving your own ass and left fellow students to protect other students. In fact you don't deserve to be a teacher
-
What is wrong with you? No one knows how they will react in that situation. Don’t judge!

Child's safety comes first

I truly believe I would protect my students, and they believe it of me. But I’m scared. One minute “Macbeth,” the next death. No one has prepared me for this, but I’m going down first.

You are replaceable. Childrens safty trumps your feelings.

People aren't replaceable, period. Your viewpoint on the matter is deplorable.

Quite frankly I'm sick of hearing about peoples feelings. There have been a lot of things I have had to do that i really didnt want to do but I did because it is necessary to the safety and well being of those under my charge. It's part of adulting. Woman up.
