If those are utilities trenches, under NRSWA or TMA they MUST reinstate to original finishes, hopefully the council will ensure that happens.

When a fault is identified as "developing" does it merit more frequent attention? If so, how much more frequent? This is a question that could also be asked of Highways England for their networks!

My daughter has hit the same pothole. You can't avoid it in the dark with oncoming vehicles. I'm off to get pictures of the defect. It's clearly damaging vehicles! I will be after a claims form soon.

Quite right. Dragon patchers etc are very useful bits of kit BUT load-bearing property if material they produce won't match that of full-depth two (or more) layers construction. They aren't the full solution, we must have full-strength resurfacing/reconstruction.

I pitched this last Monday evening, it was online by 3.20pm Wed pm & in the following day. A cracking feature - the Scottish Borders Council paid out nearly £900 on 1 in 3 pothole claims last year which is the highest in Scotland
