No one has to worry about this as most major countries are bankrupt. It's like if you had maxed out all of your credit cards 30 years ago, but you kept raising your borrowing limit every year. At some point that will crash.

You don't know what you are talking about. Every year Congress raises the borrowing limit so they can borrow more and more money every year. The reason is because Congress spends more money than they take in through taxes. It's going to get a lot worse to as baby boomers retire.

I know exactly what I'm talking about. Compared to our GDP, our national debt is actually better than many first world countries. We could easily balance the budget (with some painful cuts) and would still have an extremely healthy defense budget. It's not going down anytime soon
