I suppose that means it starts at the top with fathers teaching sons that its okay. Also, teachers-students, mentors-mentees, coaches-athletes, etc. So, maybe its not the boys who are to blame, but the men that teach the boys how to cope with inadequacy.

If you're new to the game, find a few writers who might rip out your soul and shape it into something that a stranger might read. It'll hurt, but the hurt means a whole lot less when others begin to compliment your writing.

I don't know much about writing fiction, but what I know I've learned from critique, and the wisdom of other writers who are smarter, more objective than me. I would be nowhere if it weren't for these amazing people who've nurtured me.

Dreamers should be protected. No wall should be built on the border with a friendly country. College must be more affordable. Women deserve access to reproductive health services. All Muslims shouldn’t be banned, & the press isn’t the enemy of the people.

Asking a prisoner to pay for his incarceration is nonsense, especially if prison is intended to "rehabilitate" criminal offenders. Punishing prisoners for seeking change via creativity is tantamount to cruel and unusual punishment.
