    Had a talk w/ an author this week processing all the emotions of a new book release, especially during this time. They were not only feeling so many different & even contradictory things, but felt guilty for it. I reminded them that it’s all normal—

    love this jenny lumet piece. not just the nuance and humor of her inner monologue, but the way it testifies to the real fear for poc that conversations about wokeness will remain awkward and uncomfortable but a flash in the pan, over too soon before the work is done.
