If you’re wondering what’s going on in DC right now, I’d recommend ’s 4-part history of the 20th-century conservative movement. This is its nearly-inevitable endgame.

Amazing story. I’ll be first in line to see it on a big screen at a revival house in 2021 or 2022.

Trump probably lost this election because he was a dick to John McCain. Cindy went hard in the paint against him in Arizona, and that looks like it will be the difference when everything is counted.

Tonight TCM is airing A Man Called Adam, the film my dad directed in 1965. The musical sequences are particularly wonderful, with music by the great Benny Carter and featuring Nat Adderley (ghosting for Sammy Davis Jr.) as well as Jo Jones on drums.

It's Barbara Stanwyck on . My opinion: Had it been made in the early 50's, Barbara Stanwyck could've set the screen on fire as Mrs. Robinson in THE GRADUATE. .

The president is 73. His opponent is 77. The Speaker of the House is 80. The Senate Majority Leader is 78. The average age of the House is 58, in the Senate it is 62--one of the oldest Congresses in U.S. History. Stop thinking this isn't part of the problem.
