I'm working on a piece about the use of "guys" as a gender-neutral pronoun, and I'm wondering if there are people out there who have stopped using it because it's gendered. If you have thoughts, I'd love to hear from you: joe@theatlantic.com

I don't really mind "guys" or the Dutch "jongens". My mother used it for my sister and me. I do hate being singled out with "hey guys and Marg" (I work in tech). It makes me feel like an appendix with boobs. However, it's always good to challenge why male should be the default.
