Why bother replying to @piersmorgan. He uses same tactic to sensationalise tweets as he did headlines i.e to provoke reaction. Sooner he’s ignored, sooner he goes away!
P.S please disregard all my historic tweets to Trump & Morgan when assessing my credibility to give advice

@mrdanwalker@piersmorgan for once I do agree with piers. A knighthood for doing something you are paid to do! I'll be expecting mine next year after a good year. I do think it's a bit of a joke, they should be given to charity workers etc exclusively -
I actually agree with you. I think there should be fewer honours for sporting success and more for those who make a massive difference to the world around us. Happy New Year.
-
More honours are given to 'ordinary people' but we hear less about Barry from Bognor than we do the celebs. Under the current rules, he more than warrants a knighthood!
-
But not Boycott who achieved far more?
-
He simply didn't achieve more?!
-
Really?? I think the records suggest otherwise
-
On the world stage they don't! I'm not sure what records you're suggesting? Cook is 5th on the list most test runs, youngest Englishman to reach various test runs milestones etc. Also, Boycott's private life means he's unlikely get a knighthood.
-
I think discussing which cricketer deserves a knighthood has missed the point here, sir for doing something they love for a living is a bit much, no matter how good they are.

Well paid sportsman get enough adulation without these daft up New Years honours.
-
I agree with you. I think most people who receive them think there are more worthy candidates.
-
Indeed I tweeted earlier that people like Sir Ian Botham are more than worthy for the amount of money he has raised for charity so it's not a total knock on sports people receiving them.

Shouldn’t knighthoods be for people who save lives, humanitarians, and people who commit heroic tasks on behalf of others
-
Did you know Dr David Knott a NHS surgeon who also volunteers as a surgeon in war zones has an
#OBE the same honour as Victoria Beckham has for services to Fashion!
