Protip: Always keep OC spray ("pepper spray") on you in a situation like this. It's the most effective non-lethal weapon you can get your hands on.

As an aside, I think there's a perception that OC spray is "weak" or "wimpy" because it's stereotypically carried by women in their purse. That could not be farther from the truth. It's incredibly effective (and quite cheap, btw).

Me too, cant be armed in most of these cities, look what they did to that guy,w a legal CCW, who pulled it on a mob he was filming,in Portland couple yrs ago,charged him,not mob,so I'd use a staff or the like. PR24 maybe,definitely a Mag lite also, they never see those coming
