Today, I relived one of the most painful times in my life on the House floor. I shared my experience of being forced to carry my dead baby. Prohibited by law to induce labor, I carried my deceased child inside me for two months and almost died. We can't go back.

We must protect families from unnecessary government intrusion into the most sacred decisions of our lives, and our childrenβs lives. Being pro-choice means taking fear and intimidation out of the equation for women no matter what choice they make.

You really only have to learn about something just one time to know more about that topic than most people.
Even though thatβs mathematically and logically impossible, everyone still knows itβs 100% unimpeachably true.

Hey, don't want to interrupt my Democratic friends when they're engaged in their favorite sports of The Gnashing of Teeth and The Tearing of Garments, but it looks as if the Democratic Party will have the best midterm performance by a party in the White House in two decades.

The violence and death is wearing on me is ways that are difficult to articulate, but very obvious to feel.
So much of it is so needless and startling. Itβs hard to stay focused.

We should talk about how last week republicans were able to manufacture an entire media narrative about a looming "red wave" by flooding the zone with astroturfed polls from right-wing polling firms.

I cannot get over this. There was an assassination attempt on the Speaker of the House by the exact kind of GOP ultra-radical that sacked the Capitol two years ago, and it is RUNNING BELOW THE FOLD IN THE NEW YORK TIMES. Our news and political culture broken beyond repair.

I donβt think presidents have much effect on crime. But if weβre going to play that game:
1. Obama left Trump with the lowest murder rate of any president since LBJ.
2. Trump was the first president in 28 years to leave office with a higher murder rate than when he started.

1. The economy

And everywhere we go, people know Joe Biden has no plan to fix it.

LOOK: Missouri has no age limit to buy and carry this weaponry. The 19-year-old school gunman in St Louis had an AR-15 and 600 rounds of ammo in 30-round magazines. Thereβs no background check or permitting required to carry these guns loaded, in public.
This is fucking insane.

To lose a child to overdose is an unimaginable tragedy. By putting naloxone in our schools, South Jersey is ensuring that life-saving medicine is available if the unthinkable happens. If it saves even one life it will have been worth it.

Democrats in Washington have been extremely productive and measured in their leadership these past 2 years. Iβm excited for how much more we can do if given the opportunity.

Itβs crazy to me that we debate whether Republican candidates are unacceptable because they want to throw women in jail for abortion or participated in terrorism.
but an βunacceptableβ Dem candidate is someone who wants government run healthcare.

The Republican response to the Herschel Walker domestic violence & abortion news tonight is to pray that Dr. Oz βwe found out literally a few hours ago that he killed 300+ dogsβwins.
Quote Tweet
I'd largely thought Walker could pull this off despite his baggage. I'll see what sort of response he mounts, but given text messages tonight, Georgia GOP'ers are praying for Dr. Oz to win. Walker hasn't mounted a good response to any attack, and this is brutal, probably a KO.

Think about how much time, attention, and money we collectively expended to fight over Obamacare/ACA because of bad faith Republican partisanship. Just for them to move on because they KNOW it was good. What a waste.

Some even praise the ACA as historic.
