Added a new interface to PANDA today which mostly recreates Unicorn Engine but with support for taint analysis (and all the other existing PANDA features). Might be time for a series of blog posts about using PANDA from python.

Our NDSS paper, ABSynthe is now online: ABSynthe takes a target program and a microarchitecture and automatically synthesizes new side channels. With cool leakage maps!

If you know of any undergrads looking for a summer internship, we've got a number of them available via an NSF REU program. Would love any signal boost you can provide. Thanks!

Can we build trustable hardware? I think it’s possible if we: 1) simplify the hardware 2) verify the entire system, not just chips 3) empower users to check and seal their devices Our new Betrusted project embodies these principles, read more at:

Looks like they’ve updated the post with the coverage comparison I asked for - on the left, Dharma+AFL, on the right Vasilisk. Seems to do better at covering code in the optimizer!

New blogpost: Sanitized Emulation with QEMU-AddressSanitizer I just open-sourced my QEMU patches to fuzz binaries with ASan, QASan. You can also use it with ARM targets on Linux, a thing that you can't do with LLVM ASan!

A question asked reminded me that it's possible to write a C program (that I think is correct, but happy to be corrected) that can only be compiled with optimizations.
