Friends, today me and my band finally released the album we've worked on for 8 years. 25+ people were involved in this record. 200+ hours in 7 studios over 2 years. We worked extremely hard for this to happen. Now it's your turn to help us get heard ❤️

🚗🅿️ As a driving beginner, I couldn't figure out how to properly park my car in a tight new parking spot. But as a proud geek, I knew just the thing that would help — a mathematical model with an visualization!

Update: not only was this notebook retweeted by (author of Concorde), but Keld Helsgaun (LKH) reached out to share param tweaks that make it find the optimal route in 15s! 😱 Isn't it amazing how in this age you can connect to the world's top scientists through Twitter?

Updated it with a newer airports list (3119 total), and this time finding an optimal route took Concorde TSP 2.5 hours! LKH, an approximate TSP solver and my personal favorite, found a nearly optimal route (only 0.0025% longer) in just 2 minutes. Linkern got +0.16% one in 16s

Traveling Salesman Problem is such a fascinating topic! Here's the shortest roundtrip route through 2980 airports on a globe I made while exploring different TSP solvers. ✈️

V8 hits its long-awaited v8.0, now with optional chaining, nullish coalescing, faster higher-order builtins — oh and 40% less memory use thanks to pointer compression, no big deal. h8rs gonna h8, V8ers gonna V8 🔥🔥🔥

We released patch 1.2 of today, and it includes a fix for the dreaded "the game thinks my companions are dead" bug, which I believe I spent more time investigating than I have for any other individual bug in my career (1/18)
