Reduced consumption by the rich is not nearly enough when carrying capacity is 4 billion max and we are rapidly nearing 8. Highly recommended:

That's a creed, not a fact. Capitalism needs a lot of customers and workers, so we must fight the never ending dogma of growth. Expansion of the 1. world lead to the crisis we're in. Now we must shrink in many ways. There is not one solution, there are many solutions.

China throwing a hissy fit over the ban is expected. Their politicians usually do it to save face in the eyes on their populace. But for someone to be calling this ban racially motivated is so stupid it’s beyond words.

labeling everybody that takes sensible precautions against a global pandemic as “racist” is mindbogglingly stupid. Australia’s property media has virtually shut down coronavirus discussion and debate, endangering the public interest.

And hence the real reason why we have the nutters on the right in power right across western democracies.

The fact MSM won't even touch the topic tells you all you need to know about how important it is we discuss it further. It is the most closely guarded secret of our house of cards economy, damaging us and our future sustainability.

The world’s optimum is less than 2 Billion – 5.6 Billion fewer than today and there is an increasing of the entire planet by synthetic chemicals that may be more dangerous to people and wildlife than change.

1/2 is a HUGE problem. To suggest otherwise is folly. I'm a fan George but you can't seriously discount the massively negative effects inherent to 8 billion plus ppl. You want mass but population is the single biggest driver of habitat destruction.

It's far more likely that people in developing countries will actually strive for increased living standards, & with it all the extra consumption. is a disaster for this planet & I'd reiterate other comments... powerful, influential ppl are cowards for ignoring it

Don’t let this happen! National parks should be treasured and preserved for existing ecosystems and future generations.

  19. How effective has the "fire-fighting" strategy of lighting countless fires; i.e "back burning", particularly the dropping of aerial incendiaries been in combatting these fires? It is conceivable that the approach has made the situation immeasurably worse? Yes, it has.

Just goes to show... Conversations are being had about extremely high immigration and it's negative effects on economic opportunities in Australia (for the average citizen) anyway. You won't find objective conversations in the main stream media.
