the problem with men being emotionally available and healthy in hetero relationships is that most of us aren't ready for y'all. what do you mean you won't be toxic??!!

is it officially that time of the year when a socialist-journo is sitting in front of a beautiful glass window, in a huge-ass office - writing about how V day is all about consumerism and you're all just going about buying love

every morning I wait to listen to my morning song, "Here Comes The Sun" while getting some sunlight but the gloomy Bangalore weather just makes me want to close my eyes and sleep again. 😶‍🌫️

one of the most wholesome behavioural shifts - largely influenced by the pandemic has to be the newfound appreciation for life that has emerged among people. it's striking how we now make active attempts towards loving life + ourselves more, to loving it better.

Having a gang of girlfriends who hype you, affirm you and want to see you win is like having a secret ace of spades in your back pocket. Hype and validation literally a phone call away : my very own hype-as-a-service.

'certainty' is an illusion of security that we are constantly chasing. security is, in some capacity, forever changing. so we're all just a bunch of monkeys chasing something that's inherently designed to change, like forever!?

wait, no, imagine a problem you need to solve. now, let it go. wait, no, hold onto it. make a mental note to work on it later. and we're done! congratulations on completing your 30-minute guided meditation. wait, did we even start? 😡

wait, no. don't hold it. just breathe normally. now focus on your breath. wait, no, focus on your thoughts. wait, no, focus on your feelings. wait, what were we focusing on again?!? now, tense all your muscles. wait, no, relax them. now, imagine a peaceful place.

meditation apps need to take a cue from their own instructions and first meditate on their own instructions: first, find a quiet space. make sure you're sitting comfortably. now, close your eyes. wait, no, open them again. now, close them. now breathe in deeply. hold it. 😤

what a spectacle it was to watch the boatman effortlessly maneuver the boat to cut through the still water with consistency and patience. here's hoping that 2023 brings the same sense of direction, consistency and balance to our journeys. shots from Shnongpdeng.

Start-up life = hard won insights. Here are my top 10 for this year. 1. Doing well at a start-up is not simply about skill, it is about mentality. A start-up mentality values action over correctness, results over process. It suits those that value autonomy over clarity.

the best thing to come out of men being less hyper masculine in this generation is how they unabashedly take advice from women on which plants to get, how to maintain them + v important Qs on how to design a cosy reading corner. so wholesome. 💜

i just want the kind of friendships like that of an old Indian uncle & wake up at 7AM, wear white kurta & PJs, burp loudly, go to the park, meet 7 more uncles, laugh loudly in unison.

Those who are truly self aware are hardest to offend cause you rarely provide them any information which they haven’t known about themselves. Offense is usually felt when your belief and truth has some distance in it which you want to avoid facing and someone pricks the bubble.

adulting is nothing but trying to do things which we effortlessly did as a child - walk 10k steps a day, get some sunlight, chill with friends/make new ones, reduce screen-time, eat junk without going on a guilt trip 🤷🏻‍♀️

bonus if you got colourful pens for your favourite teachers & sisters (convent school things) + see them pray for your health. :') i mean it was so nice to have somebody pray for you without you getting into a debate on religion or god's existence et al ... life was so simple.

i'm gonna turn 26 tomorrow. honestly the only thing I want, is to be 10 again. when the charm of birthdays was the sheer simplicity of getting to bunk classes all day while wearing 'casual clothes' & distribute eclairs with besties in the entire school.
