Lots of people are being quoted in the media whose whitebait "expertise" is not from conducting hundreds of fish surveys at night in rugged terrain all over NZ, but rather sitting by a single river each year with a beer waiting for fish to swim into a net.

So nervous to hear if our guides got to all the schools. It’s a bit out there sending expensive field guides to every school in the country. Lots of people think is crazy. If you know someone at a school please ask them if their guides arrived? Pass it on.
