Yup, we get this one a lot. It's still just not a big enough group of people to be a priority. Hoping to get to it at some point, but right now we're very heads down on other things.

Ok so I’m clearly not an executive for a reason, but hear me out - maybe that group gets way bigger when an excellent app actually does exist? 😅🤓

Ya'll do transparency better than almost anyone else, love that. I'll keep holding my breath for that rich tablet experience someday!

With this level of platform diversity, it feels essential that Insta start to invest in multi-platform technologies like RN I could see a future with “IG Lite” as the stripped down Native version for low power devices, and proper IG as a responsive, feature rich RN app 🤔🤔

Obviously IG is an early consumer of React Native, more theorizing about a future where they move from early adopter to eager adopter
This is absolutely the wrong take. Because this is actually a cornerstone of being objectively driven & apart of ux design. iPad is a new device, dark mode as a benefit is not. This additional device is tied to usability benefits from these same customers. Not new humans 🤦🏾‍♂️.

Yeah, there's something there. I call these "finally features." Things like supporting dark mode, scheduled posts, an iPad app, deleting one photo from a carousel, etc.

This is just one more reason why Facebook & Instagram will continually decay over the next few years as they are replaced by services like Tiktok that understand how to be data driven properly. Some of the #1 long tail keywords tied to any brand are “brand for iPad”!
