#GitHubCopilot looks cool at first glance but it also leads to less use of your brain and more reliance on machines.
In 10-15 years, programmers may be out of job and machines may build software for themselves! That’s a scary world we’re getting into.

I don’t think so. The road to full software development autonomy is further out than 10-15 years. TBH CoPilot is just a shortcut to googling StackOverflow for code snippets.

For AI to replace humans, customers must make precise requests ... We are safe 😂 I just think that developer with low value (only copy paste code) will be replaced but complex applications need to be written by human, with or without the help of AI 🙂

This was the same attitude towards humans vs computers in chess not too long ago.

Things are simplifying true but replacing human is not possible until machine can get creative
Will it affect only software development or AI and ML will also be affected so I quickly shift my career as newbie to programming

It’s the same false promise we’ve been given for decades. Technology makes our lives easier so we have more time to spend with friends and family. That’s just an illusion! In more developed countries, people spend less time with each other and are also less happy.
