You are also a victim of this propaganda. The Afghans were worried about the thousands of US bombs falling on their heads each year and no the deaths of a few journalists. Kabul is not Afghanistan. Afghanistan has 34 provinces.

I worked there for two years under the Taliban. Offices in Jalalabad, Kabul and Herat. I never ceased to be amazed at how popular the Taliban were at the grassroots. Unpick that for me MZ

Pretty sure residuals of that exist. But an entire generation has grown up under the post Bonn set of institutions that create organic resistance to many aspects of what the Taliban represent. Cooperation & dialogue the only path forward.
