I'm not kidding. Here's the 34-second clip from my video that they think is covered by their copyright claim. It's live applause. For my own piece. They reviewed my dispute and think their claim is valid. I am amazed.pic.twitter.com/kFUtOgw9vk

If my absolutely valid appeal is rejected by the claimant, who is *clearly* acting in bad faith here,
@YouTube puts a copyright strike against my account.@TeamYouTube, this is bananas. The above clip of people applauding my own original composition is not owned by anyone else.pic.twitter.com/GX59ALft71

BTW, @SonyMusicGlobal
@harmoniamundi, I contacted the Huelgas Ensemble, and they had this to say about the clip you claim contains their audio in my video (KvAfFf3IUf8). Whoever is reviewing your copyright claims on@YouTube is acting in bad faith.@TeamYouTubepic.twitter.com/WsM4IevuMY

We'd like to look into this further. Are you able to follow us, so that we can share account specifics over a DM? Let us know once you have.

Hello Melissa. I’m reading your Tweets. The blocking of your video for what appears to be no actual reason is distressing, to say the least. I hope YouTube is able to assist you promptly, and your video of the performance of your composition can be available again soon. - Cristin

Thank you! I hope
@TeamYouTube are able to assist me soon also. Their only advice to me so far is that I shouldn't post my own e-mail address publicly? It was a very strange DM that didn't at all address the actual issue (@Sony_Classical making a bad faith copyright claim).1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -
That’s disconcerting. Am I correct that the composition they claim is in the clapping section of you video is also actually in the public domain? It’s like they had to produce nothing to substantiate their claim to the sound recording rights or the copyright to random applause.

Yes, the composition is PD. And yes, in
@YouTube copyright claims like this, the claimant apparently does not have to produce any substantiating evidence to reject my dispute. It's left up to the claimant's discretion, and this claimant (@sony_classical) is acting in bad faith.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

Yes, after much agitation and brute force e-mailing Sony execs and labels, I was able to get it resolved:https://twitter.com/mormolyke/status/1012671620589260800 …
