Most IVIg patients don’t have 72 hours to wait for treatment. Is this a new insurance company?
-
No not a new insurance company. Absolutely ridiculous. This was their policy in general- not even just for IVIG.

An "urgent" "request" system that relies on faxes and takes 72 hours is purpose-built to not work.
-
I agree. So sad. The nurse at my doctors office also said that prior auths in 2020 seem much more difficult for all insurance. She said many are eliminating the ability to ask for an urgent review by phone. I thank there should always be an urgent path.
