    Strong, static types don’t prevent all bugs. They just prevent whole classes of annoying, avoidable bugs. So you can focus on the really hard bugs: spec bugs, design bugs, UX bugs. That’s incredibly valuable!

    Also the anti-vaxxers are implicitly saying that living with autism is worse than dying of an avoidable childhood disease. This is, at best, repugnant ableist bigotry.

    Because here's the thing. Even if vaccines did cause autism, which they do not, as shown in LITERALLY EVERY STUDY THAT HAS EVER LOOKED AT IT NON-FRAUDULENTLY. If they did? My autistic child is not a punishment, a burden, or a bad outcome. He is a GIFT.

    This is totally unreasonable of the EU. Demanding concessions in a UK version of a Canada deal that they did not demand of Canada. I wrote yesterday what was asked of Canada. (The first screenshot is from the Sunday Times piece, the second from below)

    Someone I follow just shared this photo of a sign he saw attached to a front door in a block in Norwich. Brexit has encouraged and emboldened these people. It will get worse. Do whatever you can to support immigrants who face this shit. We all need to stand strong against it.
