i like that they’ve mechanically turned parrying into a secondary sort of attack. the posture meter is like “defensive stamina.” the combat gives you multiple simple shifting conditions to keep track of and it’s always extremely elegant! i love it

It also feels more like a sword fight than any game I've ever played with something even approaching direct control. It's so visceral and looks fantastic.
