I couldn't get into parrying in the previous games as they felt unreliable in terms of the timing and the inconsistency in which enemy attacks can be parried, but in SEKIRO most attacks can be parried and also the timing is easier to learn now as failure isn't as critical anymore

I couldn't find parrys fun in the previous games but SEKIRO manages to streamline the action by making it easier to execute, but balances it out by making it not as powerful, and demanding multiple successful parrys in a single combat and as a result makes combat super engaging

yeah sekiro feels a lot less??? punishing for failures, and even still there's a big breadth of options you can do at any time compared to other souls
