Police training priority shifted 30 yrs ago from "serve + protect" to "officer safety first" - turned every citizen into a de facto criminal suspect and destroyed civility. Paranoid cops will abuse ANYONE not just minorities. Reform is desperately needed.

The problem is that some of these departments are corrupt all the way to the top. There needs to be a better outside review of those departments too.

Defund and a Shift In Change is totally different. I wish more would realize that. We can't totally abolish authority but citizens HAVE to become a part of the process for it to shake a change in neighborhoods & communities
