ok, the server finally hit capacity and can't handle any more bitcoiner love 😅 I rebooted and let it cool off for a while, but it may fall over again soon. when that happens, there'll be some downtime while I upgrade to a better machine. thanks for the patience everyone 🧡

And there's a new feature, by popular demand: *vbyte mode*. Instead of sizing by ₿ value, this scales each square by block space used, so that their area is ~proportional to the size of the transaction in virtual bytes.

thank you! I really appreciate the support 😍 Lightning donations on the website are having some issues right now, but on-chain always works, and I can DM a direct invoice if that helps 🙏

Wow, nice visualization! Would be neat to see multiple nodes doing this and merge their live views, have the final blocks all merge into the one true block. Whoever wins the miner hash race, gets to compose that next block. Correct? So does your full node have miners attached?

cool idea! I don't do any mining myself, my node just validates transactions and blocks received from its peers on the network, and relays them to the visualization server.

each square is a transaction, sized by total ₿ value, on a log scale. squares falling below the dotted line are in my mempool. transactions in the latest block confirmed by my node are packed into the big square in the middle. You can tap or mouse-over for individual ids.
