    I’ve traveled alone worldwide since age 19, and, like most women solo travelers, I suffered abuse and violence from men. The worst place was Spain. Daily, men followed me on the streets, shouted obscenities, exposed their penis. Worldwide in public transport men grab, fondle me.

    Enjoying the opening chapters of ‘The Actual Star’ by Monica Byrne. This passage makes me want to go and collect other descriptions from books where a character ‘unpacks’ the future they’re in - like a collection of speculative ‘what’s in my bag’ (the old Flickr trend).
