Because a) them pestering him is probably made-up bullshit (he's well-known to lie and exaggerate), b) he decided to do an exclusive release on Steam to begin with, and c) he sold so poorly on Steam that it would be a loss for them. We're talking like low triple digits.

I got this game, it's just Wizardry VI/VII on mega steroids, I'm only not playing it because he still hasn't made a manual yet for the game and holy shit does it need one. There is nothing niche about it that isn't already on GoG, like actual Wizardry VI and VII.
