    Google says in response to Trump's tweets that "search is not used to set a political agenda & we don't bias our results toward any political ideology...we never rank search results to manipulate political sentiment." That is *exactly* what it has been planning to do in China.

    Leaving China was the kind of unorthodox decision Google once reveled in — a move that sacrificed financial prosperity for the moral high ground, that showed employees & customers that Google. . . was motivated by something deeper than financial ambition.

    Google has revised its explanation of what happens when you turn off Location History. I’ve received some Qs about whether I think Google intentionally misled users. I don’t. I think Location History is poorly named, explained, and designed, and I’m glad Google is rethinking it.
