Today USCIS issued guidance that DHS "no longer considers children of U.S. government employees and U.S. armed forces members residing outside the United States as 'residing in the United States' for purposes of acquiring citizenship” -- https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/policymanual/updates/20190828-ResidenceForCitizenship.pdf …

Unfortunately, our military servicemembers do not have a choice. I was born to 2 US Army soldiers in Germany. Most of my classmates in H.S. near Ft. Campbell, KY were armybrats born all over the world because of the 101st ABN. Soldiers are gov't property. This policy is FUBAR.

DHS is completely fine with doing illegal or immoral things. I'm not sure that's going to be a barrier.

I wonder if this was sold to Trump (by Stephen Miller, who surely came up with it) by reference to McCain. It would have rendered him a non-citizen at birth. Trump would take any opportunity to score a point against him, even posthumously.
